1. A ‘common-sense’ point of View of Acupuncture.
A good practice of acupuncture – what does it need?
Learning the points alone?
Learning the theory alone?
Learning the energy-balancing laws only?
What more does it take to be a good acupuncturist?
2. The Art of Diagnosis
We all know all the questions we should ask the patient when trying to make a diagnosis. But do we know what to make of this information? As for the patient, all information is important. Is it all the same importance to the therapist?
How does one steer through this mangled web of information, and decide the main problem to start with and then the side problems if they still exist?

Topics second day:

3. We treat many symptoms of ‘heat’, ‘cold’, ‘damp’ and ‘wind’ in most patients. These diagnoses are not only related to muscular-skeletal pains, but to other diseases and symptoms of the exterior and interior.
4. What should we actually understand when we make such a diagnosis? Depending on our diagnosis, how do we go about actually treating these diseases and symptoms? How do we recognise the improvements in the patient’s situation when we treat them with these problems?

There will be time for questions after each half session. Feel free to bring your case questions.
